The 37th annual Special Children's Christmas party was December 11. St. Thomas hosted about 120 special children, each with his or her own unique gifts, along with their teachers for lunch, Christmas songs, dancing, and a performance by Lee High School's show choir. St. Thomas Celebrates Fifty Years of Worship and MinistrySt. Thomas celebrated its fiftieth anniversary on Sunday, November 23. The day-long list of activities started with Confirmation. Three people, Anita Scott Mobley, Charles K. Scott and Tracy Lee Conover, were confirmed by Bishop Henry Parsley at the 10:30 service, thereby becoming the first new members of St. Thomas' next fifty years. St. Thomas Releases 50-Year HistoryTo honor St. Thomas' 50th anniversary, church historian Susan Smith has written the definitive history of the parish's first 50 years. St. Thomas Reports Record LobsterfestLobsterfest XV was Saturday, November 8, 2008. The parish reports net profits exceeding $30,000, which will be divided equally among Habitat for Humanity, First Stop (Huntsville's outreach to the homeless), and next summer's St. Thomas medical mission to rural Honduras.
